NASCAR Sprint Cup Series...

Even though New Hampshire is a flat track, No. 82 driver and rookie Scott Speed had an uphill climb from the beginning.

He started 27th and later tagged Robby Gordon’s spinning Toyota when a seven-car accident unfolded on the backstretch on lap 168. The incident damaged the front end of Speed’s Red Bull Toyota, and from there he fought the setup, nursed the car’s injury and battled the brakes the rest of the race.

He finished 31st, and the No. 82 has 130 points to gain on the top 35 with nine races remaining.
